Samsung S9 not syncing automatically with Charge 2

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I upgraded to a Fitbit Charge 2 in August. Unlike my previous Charge, it's not very keen on syncing with my S9. Previously the sync would happen throughout the day automatically as prescribed in the settings.  Now I have to sync manually and it will often take five or more refreshes for the app to find the device and/or sync.  Tried reinstalling the app a couple of times. All very odd!

@Selocar Welcome! It's great to see you around! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

Let me help you with your Charge 2 not properly syncing with your phone and thank for troubleshooting this issue. Try refreshing the link between your phone and your tracker by doing the following:

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device
  • Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  • Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  • You can find troubleshooting instructions here.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks Alvaro! Despite me getting my Fitbit wrong (I  actually have a Charge 3!), I followed your advice and it seems to be working.

Much appreciated- thanks again for your help#
