Samsung/android messaging app and read notifications

Currently using Ionic and Samsung S8 with Samsung messaging app as default.

I am receiving the notifications with no issues, but when I read the messages on my phone, the notifications on my Ionic will not clear unless I do so manually on the device. Is there an issue or setting that I am missing?

Hi there @jglew82, thank you for visiting again the Fitbit Community! The normal behavior of your Ionic, will store up to 25 notifications, after which the oldest are replaced as you receive new ones. Notifications delete automatically after 24 hours.

Are the notifications not clearing up after this timeframe?

Let me know this, to know more about the issue you are experiencing if the behavior is not like the one intended.

Thank you for the reply, Roberto. The issue seems to be when I read the message, email, etc on my phone, the fitbit notifications won't automatically clear. I have to clear them manually, or wait the 24 hours as you stated in your reply.  I recently switched from ios to android phone, and with the iphone, when you read a text message on the phone, the notification on the fitbit will automatically clear. I am now using a Samsung Galaxy S8. I suspect it may end up being something with the android OS communication, but was wondering if this may be a setting I am unaware of on the fitbit app.
