When will an update be available so that I can receive phone and text notifications. I was excited about that feature when I purchased this fitbit alta. Or is there another fitbit that is compatible for my type of phone?

@Nque Currently, the Samsung Edge 6+ is not listed here as an Android supported device. I don't have a timeline to share for when that device will be tested and added to the list but can assure you that our Android team is always working to test and add more devices to the list.

In the meantime, I recommend using a different mobile device that is listed as supported until the Edge 6+ is added to the list.
