Does fitbit have a way of scanning recipes, or do you have to manually enter them? Where would you enter them, so you don't have to enter each item every time? Why doesn't the Android app have a reminder when you enter a food of other foods you usually eat with that entry, like the Apple app? or does it, and I don't know how?
Please help.

Hello @edtheyounger, welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community! At this moment there is no option for scanning recipes. There's a bar code scanning for food if you are located in the US, but this is not what you are looking for.
However instead of scanning a recipe, I would suggest in creating your own meals that will contain all your food items. This option is only available through the web-Dashboard. from the following post you can find all the information you need to use this option. Once you have created your meal, you will see this food in your Custom Food section of the Fitbit App. By doing this you won't have to add each item of your recipes each time you want to log them.
Reminders for food is not an option either, beyond having at your disposition the tabs for frequent food, recent and custom food that will store food that you frequently use or are from your own creation.
I was searching for similar ideas on our suggestion board to share with you, but I was able to find only one that is similar from what you want with the recipes scanner. If this is of your interest feel free to take a look: Custom Recipes From Barcodes. You can vote for their idea and add your comments.
Otherwise, creating your individual ideas in our Suggestion board is the option to make your voice heard. Our product team looks forward to reading and incorporating your suggestions into future versions of Fitbit trackers and apps.
Hope this helps and if you have additional questions just let me know.
