See friend stats on app

Hey everyone!

I finally have a fitbit buddy and want to see their stats during the day over the Android app.

How do I do this? And how do they see mine?

All I have managed to do is share over the web, but that is not useful at all. I need to see it with a click or something.

Perhaps you can share how you do it?

On the phone dashboard, click on Friends icon on bottom row. Then click on the person.

I hope that gives what you are looking for.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

That only tells you the friend's 7-day steps total and their daily average. There is no way to view a friend's daily steps unless you challenge them every day. The Fitbit app is just really lame when it comes to friend's data.

Hey @4DaveHarper.

Thanks for chiming in to clarify what you'd like to be able to see.

We have a Feature Suggestion talking about this, seeing the friend's daily step count.. Perhaps you could vote for it or comment on it to show your support.

Hope to see you around.

That suggestion was made more than four years ago. Myself and over 300 others have given it a thumbs up. And yet Fitbit still has done nothing.

You used to be able to see steps and where your were against friends has the app been updated and this taken away. 😩 that used to make me do more steps to try and beat them !!

I find my friends steps by tapping community on the bottom of the app’ then at the top you have 3 choices one of which is friends

The only thing I can see is their name and badges. How about some fit bit information? Steps  miles, calories etc. I already know their name. After all I invited them into my group.

I could take a screen shot of the information and then message it to my friend and they could do the same, but that’s kind of a pain. Something like setting: what do you allow your friends to see.

Users have been asking for this for years. There's a bit more info available via computer, but mobile app is useless for challenging friends.-Dave H.Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone
