Sense not tracking Sleep Stages - Separate sleep logs

I get up and pee 3 times throughout the night and my sense fitbit logs 3 separate sleep logs.  The last two do not have data or score.  Very annoying...anyone know what to do to get on score?  It merges 2 or 3 sessions into one occasionally but not always.

Disregard my previous post.  I synced again 3rd time since I did sleep time reset, and found a full log for the timeframe I had entered, and a third Sleep Score (was 78 after time reset, but now shows 73 - original was 68 I think from short log).

Sorry to have bothered you with a non problem.  I guess I did not do multiple checks after resetting times in previous shortened sleep logs.  Appreciate having the full picture and will do multiple syncs and wait longer before reporting on any problem in the future.

Hello @Simba6969, let me give you a warm welcome to our Community.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for the details that were shared, I understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. There are a few scenarios where you might see your sleep pattern (which shows your time asleep, restless, and awake) instead of sleep stages, find them as follows:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results you can  wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • If you used the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed). For more information on automatic sleep tracking, see How do I track my sleep?
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low.

I’ll be around if you need anything else.

RicardoFitbit,

I am often affected by this too, but end up with missing first few hours.  Example, went to bed at 11:51 pm, read three pages in current book.  Woke up once to go to the restroom.  My log today was 2:20 am to 6:30 am when I woke again.  Went back to sleep after checking calendar and messages (~15 minutes), slept until 8:38 am.  Only found one sleep log.  Edited log to have 11:51 pm to 8:38 am, but of course, the type of sleep recorded is only for the 2:20 am to 6:30 am original log period.  I did get almost 2 hours mire of sleep time, but nothing more about type of sleep.  Only says I had 47 minutes of awake time, so things don't add up to length of time covered.

Occasionally would have similar issue on Alta, but once I corrected start time through return from bathroom, it would show the restless and awake indicators for the entire period.

Only getting a chunk of type sleep is better than none, but not getting full picture of quality and quantity of sleep.  Being 68, those middle of the night trips out of bed are a normal part of my life.

Any ideas, suggestions on ways to get actual data?
