Sent messages disappear from threaded messaging

I have never seen an Android app with messages built in where you only can see received messages. Maybe threaded messaging is too difficult too built for your developers, but not be able to see your sent messages is so 2011...

Hi there @SunsetRunner, nice to see you around in the Fitbit Community! Yes, I understand this is an option you would like to see. Note that the messages you sent are not store on your threaded messages.

However at this point according to our last update in the feature suggestion board: Threaded MessagingThis has been very recently discussed with the relevant teams within Fitbit and is not currently on our development roadmap.

However feature suggestion statuses are dynamic and can change if priorities change too.

Thank you for your feedback, this help us to keep working in the Fitbit experience.

It is crazy that you can't see messages you sent. When you click on a particular person you can't see anything but their last message. You really think that this isn't important enough to put on the fix list? A basic message app lets you see everything you sent and everything your contact sent until you delete it. Why have a message section if you are not going to develop it to be what any standard message service has as basic.

Limiting the number of characters throughout different aspects of the Android application is another thing that needs to be fixed. Even within the android text messaging the app automatically truncates a text that exceeds the maximum number of characters.

Emoji... Android users can't read some of the emoji that Apple users have. Why can't you have an insert emoji button?

My final complaint is that often times there are things missing when I go in the app. I can't see things people typed in a challenge, I can't see posts that people have made including myself when I go to that person and try to see more. The app locks up or closes unexpectedly. These may be more difficult to fix and may be related to a service or a device but the others should be fixed.

Honestly, I'm in the trenches and I am seeing you lose people to the Apple Watch and Samsung Watch for stupid reasons like these. People are tech savvy and they have been spoiled. Why would I buy a Fitbit with a substandard app when I could have a Samsung watch where, if all things are equal with the device specifics in general, the app is better? Look at a website like SparkPeople which has perfected things like groups, messaging, emoji. Fix the problems or don't offer the features. Partner with a site like Sparkpeople and let them handle the social aspect of your business if you don't have time to offer the basics at a minimum standard.
