Set up won't work!

Cannot set up my new Inspire on my Amazon Fire 7.  So annoying and I am at my wits end.  Bluetooth picks it up.  That's about all that's working. When asked what device I want to set up, I select Inspire and continuously get bounced back over and over.  HELP!

Same here. Trying to set up Versa 2 on my phone and it'll recognize it but won't connect.

I have Moto Z and my Fitbit Versa Lite 2 will not connect. Get same message, turn off Bluetooth, turn on Blue Tooth. Unstall Fitbit APP and reinstall, did that. Make sure FITBIT and phone are up to date, done that.  Try on Different device, DID that.  IT seems like a great device if I could only use it.

Omg same here Amazon fire tablet and it won't let me set my 77 year old mother's Fitbit up. This was her Christmas gift. I'm mortified and embarrassed that it's not working. Well Merry Christmas Mom at least it looks pretty on you sorry it doesn't work. 😐 Can anyone help with this problem?

Yes. It seems it's NOT comparable with Fire7. Went to my Galaxy phone and worked first time. Hope this helps.

OK - I talked to Fit Bit support and as far as I can tell it is an O/S
issue - as in what we are trying to use for the set up doesn't have the
"right" O/S.

This means that my Fire tablet (bought last spring) and my Samsung tablet
(bought last year) - both with Bluetooth capabilities - can't link to the
new fit bit software's Bluetooth version? or just to it's software in
general? ...argggh!
Of course linking to my PC that runs Win 10 should work - except it was a
Win 8 computer and doesn't have Bluetooth capability!

So in the end I set up using my daughters new Iphone and at least I have a
working tracker - but my daily and weekly records now live 1 ferry ride and
4 hours away...sigh!

As of last night the fire tablet seemed to be able to "read" the days stats
- so maybe it will all work out in the end.

All I know is that I bought the very first version of the Fit Bit when it
first came out and have had them on and off over the years - they tended to
die from run in's with water (which is not an issue now?) and I did have
one die a natural death due to battery failure (there is only a 2 year life
expectancy) - but there has never been a set up issue before this.

I have tried other trackers and this remains the best one for my purposes -
but if this issue isn't fixed I may well not choose another one as its
replacement - here's hoping that will be at least 2 years from now 😓.

Thank you for this response. I was going to contact them today but I won't
bother now. I will try it on a computer and hope for the best. From what
I have tried, the Chromebooks won't work either. I think Fitbit needs to
work on its compatibility with devices. I am both frustrated and
disappointed. It is a lovely gift but it cost me a lot of time and energy
during Christmas.

I agree! Further research shows a tablet needs to be running Android 7 or above. I guess they have geared things for the "modern" world where everyone seems to have an up to date smart phone - those of us who don't need a smart phone or live in a rural area that lacks the service to run one aren't a big enough market to worry about... A dinosaur before my time...😁...sigh!

I have no idea. From my experience, it isn't compatible with too much!

No idea found your compatibility with Fire 7 by trying other items, i.e. my phone.

I have a Fire HD 8 and it doesn't work for set up but does seem to be able
to read the device after set up - for your daily stats, etc.

It won't let me change the clock face or do any of those things connected
to the set up process - even though I can access them through my dashboard.
But I am able to change my goals - so I guess it is partly working!

Hope this helps
