Hi.
To cut a long story short, i got my hands on a rowing machine and started to work out during the last weeks. I'm relatively unfit, but it is getting better. And now i got the "old" Inspire HR from my sister (it is not old, she just got a bigger model) to get better tracking possibilities.
But i have some problems configuring it. And i hope, that some more experienced users here can help me with watch and app.
I'll try to list my problems/wishes in a meaningful manner:
1.) Right now, the watch is not showing my heart rate all the time. I need both hands while rowing (that lies in the nature of this sport ...) but i want to be able to see my heart rate all the time to control my pace. When i use the menu option "Training" on the watch, i only get a timer (which is shown permanently), and no heart rate at all (besides the fact that there is no rowing as a standard session). A summary on the app at the end is nice, but i want and need to know my heart rate *during* the exercise. Is there any possibillity to configure this on the watch itself?
2.) The summary of the session on the app is not very meaningful. And i guess, that is due to a bad configuration, too. I made an Imgur-Post with the corresponding screenshots:
a) Firstly, is there any possibillity to add rowing as a category? As you can see in the first two pictures, it mistook my rowing as swimming (i didn't start the session manually, it was recorded automatically), which leads to completly wrong results in distance and energy consumption.
b) I don't like the summary i am getting. Pictures 3 + 4 are showing the summary of my sister's sessions (iOS), with a detailed heartbeat curve (in detail view) and a cardio range percentage in both views. Meanwhile, i get no percentage summary at all, and a strangely labeled curve in the detail view (0-10 over time, what does that even mean?).
c) Do i have the possibility to start a session manually with the app? This point is not too urgent, because right now the app is recording the session correctly, but i would feel safer if i'm able to say one of the appliances (watch or mobile phone) that i'm starting to work out now.
Many thanks in advance for your help and answers 😄 Row on!

Hi @Homek for heart rate move the tracker up the arm a little bit. The wrist flexes a lot while rowing and most likely the cause of HR failure.
As for adding rowing, fit bit would have to do this, currently our only options are workout and depending on the tracker, outdoor workout with gps.
