Setup Fitbit device with 14 year old account

I've searched, and while there are others with the problem, I don't see a solution.

My 14 year old (United States) was given a Versa 2, but I can't even select it as a device to set up. I've removed them as a supervised child in Google Family Link, but they still show up as a child in the Fitbit app. How do I finish this?

Hi @Esmurdo - you might find this helpful.

There's nothing to stop a parent creating an adult account and attaching a watch and giving the child access or not.

@Guy_ Thanks for your input. Yes, there should not be a restriction at all.

@Esmurdo Welcome to the forums. Thanks for reaching out about setting up a Versa 2 with a former child account. My guess is that your 14 year old's account is still listed as a child account on the system. That would explain why it is not showing the Versa 2 as an option for you to set up. When did you remove them as a supervised child? I do not know how long the system takes to remove the "child" tag from the account but I guess that is what is happening. I would contact Google directly to check the status of the account. Thanks in advance!
