I am finding it impossible to set up the new charge 3 I bought to replace my failing one (short somewhere inside as proven by wierd flashes across the display on a constant basis while awake)
The app does not find the new tracker, or worse, when it does, after I successfully pair it to my TABLET (not phone. Phones are for phone things) it downloads 1% of the firmware update for the tracker, and nothing else EVER HAPPENS. The tracker remains sitting there showing the "fitbit.com/setup" screen.
I HAVE attempted a reset on the tracker several times, to no avail. WTF is going on here???? I am not completely clueless when it comes to tech, but this... is beyond me.

Fitbit's help file for update problems ( https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2047.htm ) doesn't offer many suggestions other than restarting your tablet as well as your tracker and making sure it's charged.
If you don't get any useful suggestions here then customer support would be your best bet as it may end up needing replacement contact.fitbit.com
