Setup difficulties with Inspire and Samsung Note 8

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have updated the Inspire and updated my phone. I have turned them both off and on again and after a full day of trying to pair them, I am on the brink of giving up. The stupid thing is that it syncs with the fitbit app on my phone, it just wont pair or send messages or alerts. My fitbit shows correct steps, calories burnt  and even sleep... but 0 active minutes, and no alarms.. I am hoping it is something stupidly obvious I have missed as I really don't want to send it back because I am already in love with it

So if anyone can point me in the right direction..I would be most grateful

Hi @reluctantworkin, welcome to the Community Forums!

First, I'd like to appreciate your effort and patience troubleshooting this situation prior to posting, I totally understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check all the information that's specified on: How do I set up my Fitbit device? to check if all the requirements are correctly configured to setup your device. Then, you can move forward to the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes.

I'll be around if you need anything else, please keep me posted.

Thanks for your update @reluctantworkin, sorry for the delayed reply.

Since the steps that were shared on my previous post didn't resolve your concern, please try the following steps and let me know if the issue persists:

  1. Restart your Fitbit.
  2. Please on the phone, go to Settings > Bluetooth, and remove all the connections that exist with the device. (Forget device, ignore or unpair depending on the version of the operating system of the phone).
  3. Turn off the Bluetooth and restart the phone. (Switch off and on again).
  4. When the mobile device is back on, turn the Bluetooth on again but do not attempt to connect to the Fitbit from here.
  5. Go on the app and try setting up the Fitbit as a new device.

Keep me posted.
