Sleep Stages disappeared from Dashboard

I have bought a charge 2 a few days a ago. One night it randomly recorded a detailed.aleeo pattern i.e. rem /light and deep sleep.  Now it has gone back to automatically recording the simplified awake or asleep. I have read up on this and it is on all day sync etc.  I also read fit bit don't care if you ring them or offer explanation. Please help or I'll take it back and get a refund. Cheers.

Hello @Chris_jones106, good to see you in the Fitbit Community! In this case If I'm correct you are not able to see your sleep stages and only the simple view of your sleep.

I can think in a few reasons that may be causing your sleep stages are not being displayed.

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • If you used the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed). For more information on automatic sleep tracking, see How do I track my sleep?
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low

Give it a try to these suggestions. I'll be around if the issue persists.

Hi RobertoFitbit.  I have the same experience as Chris_Jones106.  Mine is a brand new Blaze, using Android on a Samsung J3 phone.  Apparently this was an old problem that was reported to be resolved a year ago (?), but I don't agree.  This does not appear to be a properly functioning feature.

I have owned my Blaze for 11 days and for the first week it gave summary sleep info only.  Monday, to my delight, it gave me a detailed report, but immediately reverted to summary only for the last two nights.

I had already heard about most of the "solutions" below, but I can report that:

1.  I sleep on my back most of the night.  I occasionally turn on either side.  These are not what I call odd sleeping positions that I would expect to cause measurement problems.  If these are problems, how could it accurately report whether I was awake or sleeping on the summary level if it cannot read properly?

2.  I always put the Blaze 2 in. up on my arm and make sure it is snug.  It is still in that spot each morning.

3.  I have slept more than 3 hr. each night

4.  The battery is nowhere near low, let alone critically low.  Which leaves...

5.  I sometimes set the begin sleep on my dashboard.  I don't really understand why that would interfere with the heartbeat readings on the Blaze, so don't really understand why this would be a good workaround.  Why shouldn't I be able to use that feature?  Is it going to be fixed?

I was looking forward to getting sleep info and I am not a satisfied user on this important feature.
