Sleep data not showing accurately

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I  regularly wear my charge 3 mainly to record sleep data. Last night, it didn't record sleep stages for some reason though the device was charged and worn as usual. My android app did report time sleep started and ended fairly accurately and a duration of 7 hr 15 minutes which is about right. However, the graph on the weekly display show me sleeping for 14 hrs!  What's going on?

Version 2.95 Android app on Nexus 5+ and fitbit Charge 3.

Hello @75goats.

Thanks for bringing this up. I'd like to take a closer look at what is going on.

The very first thing I'd like to recommend that you read through this help article. It talks about what could've happened that caused the sleep stages not being shown and would explain what happened.

As for it showing 14 hours on the graph, could you share some screenshots? That will help me better understand what is going on.

In the meantime, please try logging out of your account and then log back in. That will force all data to be downloaded from the servers once again and will force everything to show up correctly.

Let me know if there are any other questions on the matter.

I've looked at that the reasons on the page you link. I wore the charge 3
same as I usually do. The battery was at 28% when I went to bed which is a
little low, but I wouldn't have called it 'critically low'.

Yesterday, I uninstalled and re-installed the app but that did not correct
the graph. Last night, the device worked normally, and this morning, the
graph no longer shows 14 hrs for the prior nights sleep. Unfortunately, I
didn't take a screen shot yesterday when the graph showed 14.

I've done a fair bit of coding, and it seems to me my device hit some
unusual situation (bug) that I'm afraid I can't provide any more
information on.

Hello @75goats.

Thanks for sharing those details and updating me on the situation.

Hopefully it was a one time thing and it won't be happening again. Please keep an eye on the sleep information and let me know if it happens once again, and take some screenshots if able.

If you have the time, maybe you could visit one of our Discussion boards. Lots of different topics to talk about with other users, perhaps something will pique your interest.

Let me know if there are any other questions on the matter.

This just started happening to me too on both my android & apple platforms. Telling me 4.5 hours of sleep when I slept 7 hours. Has happened for past 3 nights sleep. Only gives basic sleep data, not stages as it isnt calculating correct number of hours.
