Sleep showing while I was watching TV for 2 hours

Last night versa 3 showed me in deep sleep for 2 hours.. I was wide awake watching a movie. Why?

The Versa 3 recognize when you are asleep with the measure of your heart rate and movements. 

Maybe while you were watching TV your heart rate was as low as your resting heartrate and if you haven't moved in 1 hour the Versa 3 might have interpreted that as you being asleep .

My Fitbit versa is about a week old. I will sleep with it on. Then will get up in the morning and work out and switch watches to Apple. Feel some reason the Fitbit will add an additional 30minutes of sleep while I’m in another room working out. 
why? Thank you
