@Lunci22 It is possible that your device is in "clip" mode. In that case, the heartrate monitor will not be turned on. To check this, press and hold both buttons on the sides of the Inspire 2. You'll get a list of settings. Swipe up until you get to the last one. It should say "On Wrist", if you want see your heart rate and sleep. If it says "On Clip", tap on that and change it to "On Wrist".

@alexthecat Thanks for your input and help. Much appreciated! Seems that was the reason.

@Lunci22 Welcome to the forums. Thanks for reaching out about your sleep tracking and hear rate measurement with your Fitbit Inspire 2.

Sleep will not be recorded if the hear rate measurement is not activated. While on clip mode, the hear rate measurement is turned off by default. I assume that @alexthecat's reply helped you out with this. This will definitely help other users out!

I had the same issue with sleep not being tracked and thanks to your reply, it was set to clip mode.

The strange thing is, it had been working fine to track sleep until a few days ago when I updated the app. I hate to think that it was the update that caused this headache of a change to happen, but I'm not sure what else may have caused it.

In any event, thank you for your help

@LittleAngels mine has changed from "wrist" to "clip" all on its own for no reason at all. It's easy enough to check that setting if I notice that the green lights have gone out on the back of my Inspire 2.
