Spinning cogs on exercise tab in the App

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I frequently have a situation where I go into the exercise tab to have a look at an exercise but I just get 2 spinning red cogs. This has happened several times recently.

I've tried closing the app, forcing it to stop and restarting my phone but nothing seems to get rid of the problem. Eventually after a few days it might clear but I don't know what has actually made it clear.  It's very annoying when I want to see how many calories have been burned but I can't get in to have a look.

@Clarence-Monty the issue has been there for quite a while. Fitbit, as usual, takes its time to address it. I believe it looks something  like this:

For me, it works to force stop the app and then it manages to load that screen. It's been a few months, reportes it multiple times, a few updates passed and nothing changed.

I use apple and this is what it looks like but of course the grey dots are spinning.  When you say force shop do you mean this part of app because I can’t do anything on this page. All other parts are still working.

@Mouse50 I wasn't aware there's also an issue in the iOS app. This is how it starts on Android. First, you see maps not loading (all of them). Then, when you exit that screen and come back a user will see an almost blank page with spinning circles and the only thing that helps is Force Stop (I'm not familiar with the iOS app and ecosystem; there may be a similar option to kill the app). Searching back, the issue has existed/been reported at least since January. This post shows a screenshot similar to yours. However, I observed it in December 2022, so who knows how old it is? That post reports the Android app version as 3.72. Now, we are on 3.81 (3.82 is being rolled out). It's many updates ignoring addressing this issue. Hence my conclusion is that it is something to get used to.
