Will the Spotify app work on the original Versa?

 

o....are you not doing that to try to get people to purchase the V2

The press release suggests it's Versa 2 only:

 

"Fitbit is also bringing the Spotify app experience to Versa 2, allowing Spotify Premium subscribers to control music and podcasts so you can find all-day motivation directly from your wrist."

 

It's worth noting though that the Spotify app they have announced only controls the Spotify app on your phone - it doesn't let you download anything or access Spotify directly.
