Step count while biking

I have a charge 2.  I went for my first bike ride.  I ride bumpy blacktop roads with some hills.  The charge 2 counted around 2500 steps and stairs.  Can I delete these?

Most people want the steps on a bike.

 

But you can enter a driving record to remove them

Thank you.   I want to keep the heart rate data so i don't want to delete it.  At the end of the day my step count will be artificially inflated due to the ones added while biking.
