Steps Not Registered Accurately

On Saturday my Fitbit versa recorded that I did over 50000 steps and I recieved a badge for this achievement but the app has only registered 37000. How can this happen and is it possible to get the steps registered? Thanks

Hello @Rach0513.

Thanks for bringing this up and sharing all of those details on the situation.

The first thing I want to do is to ask you to share some screenshots of the total steps showing for Saturday. It is possible that the steps were reduced because of a manually logged activity. Did you manually log any activity for Saturday?

In the meantime please try logging out of your account and then log back in. That will force all information to be reloaded from the servers in case the issue reside there.

Let me know if there are any other questions on the matter and keep me posted on how it goes.

Hello @Rach0513.

Thank you for sharing those screenshots and trying to log out and back in as I mentioned.

My question in this case it would be if you manually logged any activities manually to your account for the 22nd. Did you? That could have overwritten the steps tracked by the Fitbit and led to the reduction of the number of steps that had been taken.

I look forward to your reply.

Hello @Rach0513.

Thanks for your prompt reply.

I'd like to ask you to share some information that might add more details on what is going on. I'd like to you to go into the web version of the Dashboard and into the activity tab. There, go back to the 22nd and take a screenshot of the graph that shows for the steps through the day.

In addition to that, please go into the exercise list on your Fitbit app and look for the 22nd. Please check if there is a walking or running activity logged for that day and the total duration of the activity. Be sure to share a screenshot of this one too.

That will let me better visualize what might have happened.

Let me know if there are any other questions on the situation.
