Steps deleted after sync

My Fitbit versa just started doing something similar.

Yesterday I hadwhad oversover 10000 steps and when I synced it dropped me to 4000.  Same thing happened there day before.

I when rebooted my phone, installed and reinstalled there app, rebooted the versa, then factory reset.

Today i was on the treadmill, had over 5000 steps, synced to my phone to see if it was working  and lost 1000 steps.

Not sure what's going on.
