I noticed the step count in my Fitbit widget doesn't update unless I tap the widget and go into the app. I've seen others with similar experiences and just wondering if there's a fix.
I've tried uninstalling the app, clearing cache/data, removing/adding the widget and nothing works.
On a Pixel Pro 6 and Charge 5.

@Noname4me Thanks for the swift reply. I will keep an eye on the widget. So far so good. I will report if I see any inconsistency. I would say that is all there is to tweak in the settings. I will report after some days of use.
Have a lovely weekend. Good day to you!

@Noname4me Welcome to the forums. Thanks for posting regarding the Fitbit Widget on Android Smartphones.
I appreciate the explanation. I do not use the widget but I just tried it and it would update the steps every time accordingly. However, please note that the widget will display exactly what is on the Fitbit app. So that means that your device may not be syncing on the background and it ends up syncing only when you open up the app. Please take a look at this article: Why does the Fitbit app need to run in the background on my Android phone?. Make sure the appropriate settings are set up so that the app is allowed to run even when not in foreground use.

Thanks Rodrigo, you may be onto something. Maybe the problem is the syching.
On Android and I've given the app unrestricted battery usage already, not sure what else to check.
