Steps on device different than steps on app

Usually if my steps show up on my wrist but not on the app, it's because the app isn't syncing. Right now the app has synced successfully (updating other fields) several times in the past 5 minutes as I have tried to debug, but steps on my wrist are still persistently showing up as significantly higher than seen on the app.  I even got an on-the-wrist notification saying 'you reached your goal for today!' but on the app the goal is showing as not met.  Anyone else having this happen?

Hello @Adrienna27, it's nice to see you again participating here in the Community Forums, welcome back!

I appreciate the information and details that were shared in your post, sorry for the difficulties you're currently experiencing with the Fitbit app. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know which Android mobile device you're currently using to sync your Fitbit? Also, which Fitbit are you using? If you haven't already done so, please try the following steps:

  1. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  2. Uninstall the app from your mobile device.
  3. Make sure that the Android version is up to date.
  4. Reboot your mobile device.
  5. Reinstall the Fitbit app.
  6. Login using your credentials.
  7. Let me know if the issue persist.

Looking forward to your reply, let me know if you have any additional questions.
