Hello @Mel1253
I've seen Pixel Watch users report this issue after installing the March 2026 watch update. As far as I know, the team is aware of the issue and is working to fix the problem. However, we don't know the timeline for the fix.
For now, please submit this issue using the Feedback option in the Fitbit app:
Although it's likely that you won't receive a response, we've gotten confirmation that the team reviews every submitted feedback report and uses the information for issue investigation.

Same here - I spent an hour playing Padel yesterday and my workouts all week to not have any steps counted. I also cleared the Fitbit Cache on my phone and restarted both Watch and phone with no luck. I added feedback too. I only just upgraded to a Pixel 4. Wishing I had gone with a Samsung upgrade right now
Hello @kush-codes , @SuperNova1808
The lack of step tracking during tracked workouts happened after installing the March Pixel Watch update. Like you, I have the same issue with my Pixel Watch 4 and doing a tracked workout - no steps are tracked. I'm also waiting for the problem to get fixed.

Hope so considering this has been an issue for over two months now. Will give it a try with the elliptical today and hope for the best.

Just tried it out this morning with a short elliptical session - ZERO steps recorded. Reverting to using the treadmill setting. Sigh.

Hello everyone!
Thank you for reporting this issue, I can assure you our technical team is looking into it. I see this thread is on Android but I can see a couple people mentioned specifically the Pixel Watch. Can anyone confirm if they've had this issue on another Fitbit device or only the Pixel Watch?
the only bad workout is the one that didn't happen

Best AnswerI think this may be related only to pixel watches. I know my pixel 4 watch no longer can track steps during workouts. It's really annoying.
