@Careyair Welcome! It's nice to have you on board! Sorry to hear that your steps tile is missing. Start by logging out from the app, restart your phone and logging back in. Also make sure that your Fitbit device is paired to your account (check that the tracker is listed by tapping the account icon at the top right corner). Finally scroll to the bottom of the dashboard and click edit to see if the tile shows as disabled.
