Why are there no street names on the Google maps? I had street names before the update. Can you please have this corrected?
Moderator edit: Subject for clarity.

@LorettaYorke All labels disappeared in the new app. Not sure if it was intentional or a bug but Fitbit hasn't commented on it anywhere despite multiple reports.

@LorettaYorke @Triletics Thanks for your posts about the information shown on Google Maps. I confirm this has been reported already. Fitbit will keep on monitoring the situation. As soon as I have more information, I will let you know. I appreciate your patience!

We hike lots of forest trails. Being able to see the named tracks on the map was so useful for redoing the route and also sharing with other hikers. Please bring this feature back.

Agree this is an issue. Fitbit should definitely bring back street names on Google maps!

This is disappointing and frustrating. Any word on if this will be resolved?

I had a Garmin watch and maps worked great. I changed to a Pixel watch which uses Fitbit as the main app for exercises. I was very disappointed when I viewed my map after a walk that the street names were missing on the mobile version. However on the website PC Windows version I am able to see street names. What the heck is going on. After ready posts, I see that I am not alone. Its so disappointing.

I have had the same concern since installing the newest version of the app. A fitness tracker that cannot track is basically an oxymoron.

It looks like the issue has been fixed in 4.04 (I don't have it yet but it's written in the changelog). I'm wondering whether it ever occurred to Fitbit that they could have turned it into a feature instead of just fixing the issue. I found the lack of labels very useful from the privacy point of view when I shared my activity. A simple button Privacy Mode: On/Off would be enough and here they could say "It's not a bug, it's a feature".

I don't know if this is an automatic update or a charge.
I am waiting to get the next update to see if the street names appear on google maps.
My mobile version is 4.03.
The fitbit moderator posted that a new version 4.04 was available, but I have yet to see it or have my phone update it.
Just got the latest Fitbit Mobile update 4.04.2.11 regarding the street name issue previously discussed. The street names are now on the map. Thank you.

Hello everyone.
Thanks for your posts about the map deatils on GPS activities. This is something that was addressed with the last Fitbit app update. In case you have not received it, please make sure your device meets the minimum requirements: Fitbit Setup Requirements. Current app version is: 4.04. As a last resort I would also uninstall and reinstall the app. Note that your device remains connected to your account. You will just have to set up features like notifications again.
If you have that version and maps are still not showing other details, please take a screenshot and share it here with us. Thanks in advance!
