Swim Lengths no longer available with new app 😞

Poor re-design.

My screen does not look like yours… it does not show laps or lengths.

Mine also does not look like the one above. No lap or length shown. It used to! Very annoying!

Mine doesn’t even show heart rate? So strange, I really dislike it

Where do you click to get that extra info? Mine just isn’t showing it?

Mine too, and I have the Google Pixel Watch 2, where can we send feedback?
Best Answer

@SunsetRunner you need to use the Exercise app to track swimming not autodetection. If you autodetect, then lengths are missing.

@Triletics Thanks, I start the exercise from the watch so i don’t start the swim and hope for it to detect it, I select swim on my watch before I get into the pool. Is that what you mean?
Thanks

@SunsetRunner Yes, you need to start Swim tracking manually on the watch.

@giovannitoso I don't know where to share feedback either, if someone finds it let us know. I'm researching alternatives already!

@Triletics thanks, yeah I do that and it still isn't showing the screen you've had. Perhaps it's because I don't have premium? Maybe they changed it and removed all the data that was previously available for free to force people to go to premium... or force them to switch to Google accounts (which btw will share all your health and location data with Google and healthcare providers in countries where this is considered a medical device, etc, etc...)

Anyway, if anyone can recommend a different watch for swim tracking I'm all ears 😂

@SunsetRunner hmm... it definitely doesn't require Premium or switching to Google. It's probably a bug. The new app is riddled with those. I use Charge 6 and now I use autodetection anyway because it tracks HR that way and I don't need lengths because it counts them always wrong. Anyway, it's just a toy. I use a different watch to track my swimming "for real" (so no need to count lengths in the head, I get vibration every N-th length, can track HR, drills, rest, and program structured swimming workouts so the watch can guide me through, these are just a few features that Fitbit users are missing out on).

Very disappointing! I’m now looking to switch to another brand.

Me too!!

I use it for swimming and recording my lengths and length time. That’s all been removed!
