Swim Log Accuracy Issue

I've tried adding my swimming as a previous log, which is how I believe you do it but correct me if I'm wrong. When I input 30 mins swimming it states 249 calories burned but asks to input distance before I can log it. As soon as I add anything between 1 metre and 800 metres the calories change to 129. It doesn't matter if I input 1 metre or 800 it stays on 129 calories. Where am I going wrong.

You're right! That's how I log my exercises too. I just tried logging swimming and used the info you gave. The calorie burn for the exercise is being estimated based on the duration and distance. Tried changing the distance and the calorie value changed. Since yours isn't doing that, I recommend logging out of the app and logging back in. Please try again and let us know how it goes. 🙂

Hi. That hasn't worked. I've attached screen shots to show you. The calories burnt don't change until you input 800 metres or more.

Appreciate the screenshots, @Toni2575! That's weird. You're totally right. With a 30 min swim, the calorie value only changes/increases when you've covered 765 meters (0.77 km). The calorie value for manually logged activities are only estimates but it should still change when distance is modified.

I would get more information about this and get back to you. What's the actual distance you swam? If you know how much you must have burned, I suggest manually typing the value beside the flame icon before logging the swim.

Hi. I swam for 30 mins 500 metres. I don't know what the estimated calories I would have burnt so I can't add them myself. I'm assuming that's what the app does for you. And as I'm starting to go swimming regularly I'd like to be able to use the app to estimate my burned calories. It's pointless using it if I'm logging food, steps etc but can't log the swimming. Thanks for your help. Toni
