I have been ignoring the notice to switch my account to Google for sometime, but thought I should get on with it now. However, having followed all of the steps in my app, I am told that there is already an account linked to that Google Account. I am the only person on my Fitbit account, so this is not possible.
I tried to get help by chatting online, but it is not available. I tried to request a call back, but that's not available either unless I sign in with a Google account, which I can't do as it's apparently already taken. I decided to call the help number listed on the page myself to be greeted by an automated message saying "this number doesn't take calls!!!"
So I have NO way of switching the account, and NO way of accessing help. Is there anyone out there who can actually help me do this?!

Hi @KB1982, Thanks for stopping by, I hope you're doing well.
I'm glad to hear you are thinking about moving your Fitbit to your Google account. Let me help you with this process. Thank you for your efforts.
You should be able to link your Fitbit account to an existing Google account you own by following the instructions from our help article How to move Fitbit to a Google Account
This being said, i need you that you to clarify something: When you say "I am told that there is already an account linked to that Google Account" do you mean that your Fitbit account is already linked to a Google account you own?
If you already have a google account, you should be able to log into a Fitbit account if a Fitbit account is already linked to that Google account.
If that's the case that means you have two Fitbit accounts, so one solution may be to create a new Google account and link this Fitbit account to it.
In regards your support request, you should be able to contact us via de Fitbit app by going to the help section.

"You should be able to link your Fitbit account to an existing Google account you own by following the instructions from our help article How to move Fitbit to a Google Account"
No, I can't as previously mentioned.
When I follow the instructions in my Fitbit App, I get to a screen which I have tried to attach a photo of, but apparently I can't do that either.
It states that "This Google Account is already used with Fitbit. It means you can't move Fitbit to this Google Account. If you want to use Fitbit with the Google Account, you'll need to sign out of Fitbit, and the sign in using the Google Account."
I then log out of my Fitbit app, and try to log back in using my gmail (which I've had to create to use apps on my Samsung for years). This then shows no devices or accounts linked to my gmail, and I don't just want to 'set up' my Fitbit as if it's a new device and lose all of my data.
Can you help?

Hi @KB1982, thank you for the clarification.
In that case, the solution may be to create a new Google account and link your existing Fitbit account to it.
One alternative, is to delete the Fitbit account that is currently linked to your Google account. However, this process may take up to 30 days. For reference see How do I delete my Fitbit account and service? > Delete Fitbit account > Using the Fitbit app > If you sign in with your Google account
Since the due date to migrate is until February second, the alternative to create a new google account is the most appropriate for you.

@KB1982 what you are telling us that you have 2 fitbit accounts created with 2 different E-mails, the one you do not use is under your google email.
You will want to log in with your Google email. (you may have to do a password reset).
Then follow these steps. Delete a Fitbit account
Google gives a 30 day grace period to recover. Therefore you will need to wait this 30 days before switching over.
