Is there an official statement from fitbit regarding the ongoing sync issues? I'm not clear on what the current situation is. I have 3.5 / Android 9 / Galaxy S9 / Fitbit Versa. The thing has not synced since 5:30 pm last night. I changed *nothing*. I rebooted the versa this morning. Nothing. "NO DEVICE FOUND". This is an unacceptable ongoing issue. Is this being addressed? At this point my watch is useless. Syncing is completely random. Notifications are completely random. When notifications happen they are significantly delayed. I can reply to a text message and get another response before I get notification of the first message. At this point I no longer know what to do. I've done enough troubleshooting. I've uninstalled and reinstalled many many times. I've rebooted many many times. Do we have a time range of when this will be fixed? I've been a long long time fitbit user. I do not want to leave the brand, but it's very tempting at this point. Without any details from fitbit I feel very ignored. Previously when there was an Android wide issue, they put a banner on their website. Now we get barely a response? How long do we have to continue with these issues?

Hi @hoofbeats95, it's a pleasure to see you again participating here in the Community Forums!
I appreciate all the information and details that were shared in your post, thanks for troubleshooting this situation prior to posting too. If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check how the syncing procedure works here and see if there's a missing requirement on your Samsung Galaxy S9 that's preventing the syncing procedure to be completed. Also, you can move forward to the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and let me know how it goes.
For the notifications concern, please check: How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device? to see that all the necessary requirements to receive notifications on your Versa are correctly configured. After verifying this, please try the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone and let me know how it goes.
Keep me posted and let me know if you have any additional questions.

I am having the same issue. I have done all the problem determination steps also. It’s totally random. I am on iOS.

@RicardoFitbit with all due respect I've done the troubleshooting. The issue is *random*. It does not appear to be related to a setting. I have everything set the way I always have when it use to work before the app updates. Quite frankly there are times when it refused to sync for hours, even when I force sync. That's gotta be an app or server issue on your end. This many people having issues is not a setting problem. Things will work totally fine and then suddenly come to a screeching halt. I've never had this issue with the app before. I could at least always force sync. I'm so tired of the "device not found" message.. . . for hours on end. . . then suddenly all is fine and it will sync with no changes on my end.

I see you haven't received an answer much less a solution! Mine is doing the exact same thing.

I have made up my mind today, after 5 years of fitbit, if they did not announce a new high end tracker and changed the e app, i am going to a garmin

As i mentioned in many places before, what was done to the app was a stupid yet huge mistake, and fitbit are not announcing any high end tracker to take after ionic, i am going to garmin.

My synching has also been delayed even after force synch since last update. Please fix fitbit!

I am having the exact same issue with my Alta hr after the update: randomly not syncing, needed to unpair and pair again to get it working (losing a lot of data on the way, as I didn't notice until some days after that it wasn't syncing). But even after that it stops syncing again, showing a pink warning sign in the device settings with no more information, not even when you try to click on it. It's very annoying, and of course I followed all the troubleshooting. The update is clearly buggy! Also, the app sends notifications to the phone that I can't dismiss asking me to synchronise the device and when I hit the button nothing happens.
Are you working on fixing these issues? The device is completely useless like this, you can't roll out an update full of bugs, specially when it's key to use the device. Very bad quality, just need to go to the play store to see the latest comments and understand that there are a lot of similar problems with this update.
I'm running the app in a Huawei mate 10 pro, android 9

Same here, I'm just so disappointed with Fitbit. These sync issues never go away. Every update they seem to break it even more. My Fitbit won't sync again. I also lost about 3 days of data because I hadn't noticed. I constantly have the notification saying when it last synced, and if I force it to sync in the app it fails and shows the pink warning sign.
The quality control on the app is very shameful for a company of Fitbit's size. It's not OK to regularly break your app and make your trackers and smart watches all useless for days and weeks at a time.

This is ridiculous! Fitbit doesn't monitor this forum much less offer up a solution. And calling customer support will only get you the same advice you get from a few moderators here. Turn off bluetooth, restart, reboot, uninstall, log out... that's BS. And if your Fitbit is over a year old, they want you to buy a new one. They need to fix the issue!!

@SassysMom8517 I agree. I have been a long time fitbit user but I'm rethinking this. I use to be able to sync my fitbit whenever I wanted - though it would sync on it's own and also maintain connection for notifications. Now it's hit or miss. If the fitbit gods are happy things work. If not, they don't. Forget doing any competitions with friends. I'd lose cause I can't guarantee I can sync during the competition time period. This is a joke. I've never had this much trouble. I have patience because I've loved my fitbits through the years, but my patience is coming to an end. My watch is useless.

I have been a Fitbit user for many years and have enjoyed the application and like the features and look of the dashboard. I purchased a Fitbit Versa about a year ago and loved the ability to sync my phone to it to receive messages (Message+), calls and emails. Recently however, I have had trouble with getting not only my Fitbit to sync to my phone (Galaxy 10e) but also to receive messages from my phone on Message+--my preferred app for messages. I found that I have had to change to Message--which quite frankly is not as user friendly as Message+. I have also had trouble with it syncing and receive the same message 'no device found'. I am getting frustrated with Fitbit and am seriously thinking of changing to another smart watch such as Samsung or Garmin. My husband has a Garmin and although I don't like the looks of the app dashboard but he has never had a problem with his watching syncing to his phone. Is there any way to demand Fitbit to get it so Message+ works again and the problems with syncing are fixed?

I have tried the numerous ways to resyncing my phone and watch on the Fitbit site, You Tube etc to no avail. It has to do with an update. I can receive emails and phone calls on my watch but Message+ no longer works for the past couple of weeks--so there is something wrong with Fitbit.

I've tried everything from Fitbit Support on Twitter and Facebook. Finally I broke down and called Fitbit. The young man was extremely nice but basically told me I'd need to "wait it out". He said they were aware of the syncing issues as well as all the other issues. My Versa has been rendered useless for quite a while now. I'm seriously considering the Galaxy Active 2.
