Your Bluetooth is not suppose to find or pair to the tracker. The app will do the pair.
I'm not sure which of the steps in the direction caised the issue or why it needs to be connected.
Has the Versa been removed from your Fitbit account?

Hello @Karma4me23, welcome to the Community Forums!
Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for troubleshooting your device prior to posting, I totally understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. Just as @Rich_Laue said, the syncing process of your Fitbit Versa Lite will be completed directly from the app. That said, I recommend you to check how the syncing procedure works here and see if there's a missing requirement on your Android mobile device that's preventing the syncing procedure to be completed.
Also, you can move forward to the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and let me know how it goes.
Keep me posted and let me know if you have any additional questions.

Came here with same issue. Just ran update and now the tracker won't sync with the app. Literally changed nothing except ran the update and now it won't sync. Very frustrating.

Have you tried restarting the tracker and checked for an update to the fitbit app on the phone?
After I updated I had to update the app before I could get it to sync.

None of the steps work as a long-term fix. Since the update about 6 or 8 weeks ago, my tracker doesn't sync on its own. I have had my Versa Lite replaced because the update didn't work, and after doing a factory reset, the tracker could not be found by the app and wouldn't do anything.
New Versa Lite worked fine for 2 days. Update was installed and now the only thing that works is completely unpairing and removing my tracker from the app, removing the app from my phone, reinstalling the app and then installing the tracker as if it were new. When this is complete, the tracker will stay "connected" for a few hours and then fail again until I unpair, remove and reinstall the app, and re-pair it all again.

So here is an interesting development.... After uninstalling the app, unpairing the device, restarting phone and tracker, reinstalling app, re-pairing the tracker, getting it all synced, I have not closed the app and it has stayed paired and syncing for over 14 hours. This is the longest it has stayed together since before the updates that started all of my trouble. Maybe this is a step in the right direction!!!

Instead of starting troubleshooting from the last things to try, let's start with the easiest.
Turn Bluetooth off/on, try a sync.
Restart tracker and phone, try a sync. Android phones still need to be restarted weekly. My understanding is that the memory management issue has been addressed in version 10.
Go into the phones settings, apps, Fitbit, storage, clear cache. Try a sync
Switch back to phone settings, apps, Fitbit. Tap stop program. Try a sync..
Instead of the clear cache above, choose clear data. Try a sync.
If none of the above doesn't work.
Uninstall the Fitbit app, restart phone to remove the Fitbit BT drivers. Install the Fitbit app. I have only had to do this a few times with android over 5 years.
Still not syncing?
Add your Ionic as a replacement device through the app. Doing this will prevent the loss of any instances data. I've only had to do this once.
Next time with a sync issue start the process from whatever step above that worked for you.

Another develipment here today.... Somehow my,app closed on my phone. When I reopened it, the non-syncing issue returned. I tried the suggestion of clearing the cache with no change. Only thing that has worked is keeping the app open. Stayed connected for almost 2 days, syncing every time I told it to! Hopefully this info will help IT people at fitbit fix the issue!!

Have you given the app permission to run in the background? And turned power management off for the Fitbit app? You may be able to turn power management in at a later date.

I cannot get my versa lite to sync to my phone and I've tried everything. I tried syncing to another device (on my husbands phone) and it connected and was updating the tracker but at the very end failed. Also, did the same on my ipad. Out of options at this point. Any suggestion would be appreciated. Tried email support but did not receive any response.
