Syncing issues with Galaxy A7

I have the same problem as tons of people on here. I have an Android Galaxy A7 and the Fitbit app worked fine for 6 months. Suddenly it won't even connect to the Fitbit (Charge 2). All necessary troubleshooting steps have been taken. This is simply an issue that the users cannot solve on their side. I've seen some replies from you guys (Fitbit community admins) that say that the phones people use who are having this specific issue are no longer on the compatible device list. They were fine before, and the update you pushed (as everyone started having this issue after updating the Fitbit app) broke everything. I'd understand if the company showed some interest in the users' issue and the intention to fix things or at least look into it. But what we're getting is vague 'not our fault' and really a huge lack of interest in the users' issue. I'm super disappointed in how you (Fitbit) are handling this.

Hello @anirun.

Thanks for sharing your feedback and thoughts on the situation.

It is important to mention that phones are never removed from the list. Once a phone has been added it remains there. What can happen with some of the phones that worked at some point but then do not, is that it an update on the phone or on the app caused optimization issues which led to the app to stop the syncing.

Having said that, some users have had some luck following these steps to get their Fitbit to sync.

Again, thanks for your feedback. Feel free to reach out if you have any other questions.

Strong agree. Fitbit, you're losing faithful customers and it honestly just seems bad business for you. We'd gladly keep using and buying your products if you cared about our issues beyond "have you tried these instructions".
