Text Notification on Samsung Galaxy S8

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Just got off the phone with Tech Support.  Apparently there's a bug with Samsung Galaxy S8+ receiving text messages.  I get all my other notifications just fine, but text messages.  Anyone else having this problem?  They say there's going to be a fix in the next update...

Hey @mwpampchef, welcome aboard! Thanks for taking the time to contact our Support team. I'd like you to try the troubleshooting in the following article: My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone to try to fix this issue. If that doesn't work, then I'd like you to tell me if you are getting some type of error message on the notifications part of the Fitbit app, like a banner on the top, and if so, please let me know what it says or post a screenshot so I can further investigate it.

By the way, I moved your post to the correct board so you can get better assistance.

Let me know how it goes!

Thank you for your reply   I don't have a banner across the top of my fitbit app, but, the icon shows a "1" badge and I can't figure out where/what it says.

Also, I DO get all other notifications (call, e mail, messenger) just not text?  Is there a know issue with this with the Samsung Galaxy S8 plus?

Hey @mwpampchef, thanks for your reply! Can you please post a screenshot of the badge that you mentioned so I can take a look? Did you try the instructions that I posted above? If you haven't, please give it a try and let me know how it goes.

I have tried the notification solution (Remember, I can get e mail, facebook messenger, and calls on my fitbit, I just can't get Texts)   I don't have a "banner" when I open the fit bit app, just a badge on the icon that looks like this:

Hey @mwpampchef, thanks for posting those screenshots! This actually looks like you have 2 new messages but when you open the Fitbit app, you can't see anything. So let me suggest you something, please try to uninstall and reinstall the Fitbit app on your phone and let me know if that works. 😉

I've been having this issue as well for the past few weeks. I purposely keep my phone on silent mode and use my Blaze to read the notifications, but it hasn't. Then I found out I would have to keep it on at least vibrate only for notifications to work, but now none of the notifications come through on any sound setting.
