Tired of notifications not working on your Fitbit?

All notifications are now working on my Ionic after doing this:

Do reset on your Fitbit.

Next on your android phone,  do an uninstall,  then reinstall.

Now reopen the Fitbit app.

And where you see the sync symbol

Tap that and check the settings for calls and texting,  ( I had several apps that was different texting apps used)

The phone choose the wrong app.

Change that and all is now working.

Will the factory reset delete your data completely or will it come back once you reinstall app?

@Rollie20033  same as me,love my phone.

@TonyaES  a restart is the same as rebooting a computer or restarting a phone and nothing is lost. A factory reset wipes off any data that hasn't been uploaded to the Fitbit servers. If you can't sync and do a factory reset, that data is then lost.

@Odyssey13 I don't want to wipe my data. I just would like to see who is calling again. Is there another way to fix it?

@TonyaES  be sure you have the latest app for Android on your phone. Some phones aren't compatible, See the list of compatible devices? click to see

No Tonya, don't do that!!!!!

On your  Fitbit hold the left button and the lower right button for about 10 seconds,  you will see the Fitbit symbol come on your screen on the Fitbit.

It stays on the screen for 20 - 30 seconds,  ( that's the reset of th fit bit)

Then go to your phone and uninstall the Fitbit app, then do a reinstall.

Now open the app and tap your picture then go down to devices and you will see the Fitbit you are using. Tap that,

Go down  to notifications, tap that

You have to confirm which notifications you want on the Fitbit.

( my phone chose the wrong text app I was using)

And that should have thins working again.

Tonya if you do the reset of the Fitbit

That sets you up for success. Nothing lost.

Now when you delete it from your phone,  you will loose the notifications you first had, (and make sure you have your user name and password)

Reset those notifications and the Fitbit works as it did before the troubles.

Tonya,  I can understand why you like to see phone calls on your Fitbit.

I also like that feature,  cause you can answer or delete a call so easily.

Do that fix I suggested and all will be back the way you want it.

Take care,  Roland
