I am unable to receive text notifications on my Charge 2 from my Galaxy s9. Is there a patch I keep to install?

Why don't we get updates from the moderators about this issue? When will the Samsung s9/s9+ start getting text notifications?

I'm also waiting on them to fix it too but realistically, I've given up on hope. Fitbit already has a Charge 3.

I have tried everything as well. From uninstalling to reinstalling and adding the device again yesterday, after seeing the S9+ was finally compatible. But obviously it's not. It's pretty sad people pay the money to get something that is suppose to work, and yet after 5 months of having the charge 2 I still cant read txt. All it shows is the word message. Now the charge 3 is out, so I guess they wont worry about the 2 anymore. I think they should send everyone that has a 2 that doesnt work, a charge 3. Hell I'll send this **ahem** one back to them. Hope they did better on the 3 then what they did with the 2.

Update.... ok for anyone that cant get txt notification on the s9 or s9+ ti their fitbit, earlier I mentioned I tried everything. Well I just got it to work. I found this in a forum and I am passing it along to hopefully be able to help those that are frustrated like I was. I m posting a snapshot of what to do. Good luck and hope it works.

My S9 and my wife's Note 9 only seem to send notifications to our FitBit Alta HRs when the phone is closed (just showing clock /date/charge level).
This really is not a problem once we figured out it works that way.
If the phone is open, (past the security screen), then the notifications do not seem to be sent to the FitBits. (But since you have the phone already open it would seem distracting to also get them at the Fitbit so this decision not to forward the messages or calls while the phone is already being open might be intentional).
This step- put your phone in lock before requesting your friend to send you a message might be what you need to do AFTER you allowed all the notifications in Messages and the FitBit app.

My S9 is listed as compatible but does not allow text notifications

It wouldn't work for me. I went through the setup twice. No good. The original Fitbit notifications worked well on my S9 until about a week ago. Now, nothing. I even tried a different Versa. Nope. What has Fitbit done to their program?

I am having the same issue with text notifications. I just got the versa today and am very frustrated that I cannot figure this out. I believe I have tried every option in this feed, but nothing has worked for text notifications. Phone calls, Facebook notifications work just fine, but the main part I wanted was the text feature. Any other suggestions?

I'm having the exact same problem, I have done everything, including a factory reset and I still am not receiving any kind of text notifications. I haven't received any for 3 days.
This is ridiculous, fix it Fitbit.

I wish I had an answer for you. I love my fitbit versa, but receiving text notifications is very inconsistent. I was receiving notifications up until about a day ago, then they randomly stopped. It is technology. Great when it works, but does not always work. If my phone and/or my versa have an update, there is usually a hickup along the way. Other than check your settings, reboot your phone and your versa, that is all I know what to do. I wish I could be more help.

I have been sending messages back and forth to Fitbit since 2:07 P.M. before those messages started I did every procedure outlined in the guide book and on the help forums. I even did a factory restart.
During the course of this conversation the Fitbit people had me do the same steps and procedures again. EVERY.ONE.OF.THEM. I had no doubt that it would not work. Keep in mind my 2:07 start time, at 8:51 I received this message:
"Thanks for your response and update. We’re aware of this issue and working to identify a resolution as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience while we work to get you back on track, and let us know if you have any other questions."
If you are aware of the issue and are working to identify a resolution, why didn't you just tell me that at 2:07? OMG, I don't know whether to laugh or cry. I just can't right now.

I don't know what they're doing but I still haven't received any of my notifications.
It's so frustrating that I'm debating switching to Team Apple, and I never thought I'd say that lol

I've been contemplating the same, although I really like android. Maybe Fitbit will put out an update soon.
