I am unable to receive text notifications on my Charge 2 from my Galaxy s9.  Is there a patch I keep to install?

I was not able to find Message+.  Is that the exact name of the app? I would love to have the notifications sent to my fitbit from my s9.

The name of the app is Fit Notifications in the play store if that's the one you want

Sent via the Samsung Galaxy S9+, an AT&T 4G LTE smartphone

The Fitbit also doesn't work with the S8 or S8 plus - or at least it didn't when I had it. I now have the S9 Plus and still don't get notifications.  It sounds like Fitbit is not doing a good job of staying up with the newer Samsung phones to me, which is crazy...or lazy.  Not sure which one.  These are hugely popular phones that should connect by now, right?

Found the "Fit Notifications" app in the Play Store, which seems to be okay so far.  How has this guy figured it out and not Fitbit?

I paid 300.00 for the ionic.  I was told by sales Person that I could text from the fit bit phone..."it does everything a apple phone can do". He was misinformed!.... Or lied! Then I get a new phone and it isn't compatible! A samsung Galaxy s9.  So now No alerts! Basically I paid all this money to track steps! It now sits in a drawer.  I really want my money back. I was totally mislead!

Click on the card in the top right corner of the Fitbit app to see your profile.

Then click on your device (charge 2), then notifcations. Ensure notifications is turned on here to allow calls and texts. Turn it on by selecting it and then select your default texting app.

Additionally, make sure fitbit has permission for phone, contacts and SMS by going to Settings in your phone, then apps, fitbit and permissions.

I have been similiarly dissappointed. I had my fitbit go wonky when I got my new S9 and when I asked fitbit for help they never mentioned the S9 compatibility issue. They said I had a battery problem and to buy a new one. Now that I have the new one, realized cannot use it for all the features I loved. Very dissappointing as I would have thought fitbit would be keeping up with technology. Now the challenge to find another product!

Now it is July, and I see for 4 months they have been working on compatibility issues. As I bought a new fitbit because my last one didn't work (and they thought it was the fitbit not the phone), I cannot get it to work at all on my S9. I now have 2 fitbits that do not work and would like to return one while I can get my money back. Assume if not resolved for 4 months that not going to be resolved soon? Does anyone else know of a comparable non fitbit product that I could switch to?

My texts didn't work (everything else did) until I turned them on in the Fitbit app, by clicking my device, then notifications.

After you do that, try logging out of the app, then resetting your fitbit by connecting it to the charger and holding the power button while connected until the little app notification shows on the screen. Then relog in and send yourself a msg to test. Fingers crossed.

How do you manually sync your Charge 2?

Is there any updated timeline on s9 and s9+ compatibility verification? Last message I see on this was 4 months ago so I'm hoping this is pending soon at this point. The lack of notifications is frustrating.  Thanks!

Is there any further update on Fit Notifications working on the s9?

To everyone who wants to know about Fit Notifications android app for Galaxy S9:

I am the developer of that app. IF FITBIT APP DOES NOT WORK FOR YOU, THEN MY APP WON'T WORK EITHER! My app is not a magical cure. If the Fitbit app refuses to send notifications and the notifications feature does not work in the Fitbit app, then my app won't work either.

I'm not really understanding why this happens. I've had my Charge 2 for over a year. Texts and calls were coming to my fitbit. But I got the S9+ recently. When I first turned on the app/fitbit and synced it with my S9+, I was getting notifications to my fitbit, but just a couple of days ago, it stopped. Any reasons why it was working then all of a sudden stopped. I know it's not on the list of supported devices, but due to the fact that it was working, I would expect it should continue working, not just drop off and stop all of a sudden.

This worked for me when I finally clicked onto the device. I kept just going into the app settings but not the settings for Blaze.  Thank you!!
