After the recent update, my Fitbit no longer shows the content of an incoming text. My Fitbit Charge 2 vibrates, and scrolls the name of the person who sent the text, but I can no longer read the text itself. Everything was fine before the update. The support person I chatted with said it's because my Pixel 3a isn't on the compatible phones list. https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2315 Really? It was compatible before the update, but suddenly it's not? So frustrated. If anyone has advice, that would be helpful, otherwise I guess this is just a request to add that phone back to the batch of supported phones.

I'm having the same issue. For the third day now it only pops up & shows: "view messages." I have always been able to read my messages on my blaze...not happy to say the least...

Same issue here. My Fitbit Alta HR was working no problem two days ago. Yesterday it started just showing who a text is from with no message. I also chatted with support but they didn't inform me about the updated phone list. My Moto Z2 phone is no longer on the list either. Why take previously compatible phones off, very irritating!

I don't understand why they would take phones off the compatible list. Seems like they'd be better by adding more phones. It's not like my phone is that old...Samsung Galaxy Note 8...it makes no sense. I don't know who else to complain to...or if it will do any good.

OMG the exact same thing happened to me! I have had my charge 2 for a long time and i was told in the beginning that my phone was not compatible but it worked!! So earlier today I noticed i was just seeing the names of the people texting me. So I did the update! ANd then I was getting NO notfcations!! So mine started doing it before I updated the app. I swear I never auto update for this reason. You update something and then nothing works! I was just on chat with a fitbit person for an hour. THey got my notifications to work again but only back to just seeing the name of the person texting me! No messages come over anymore. Im so upset over this! If anyone figures out a solution please please please post it!

Hopefully there's enough uproar and they will do something about it! I've contacted Fitbit support...Being able to see my texts was the reason I bought another Fitbit Blaze. (My 1st one blacked out & I had to wear my old original Charge for a few weeks)...

I have a Pixel 3, which IS on the compatible phone list and I'm having the exact same problem with my Alta HR - text notification but no content. It's very annoying to lose features - and definitely will make be rethink any future fitbit device purchases. Sure would like a fix for this.

My Blaze stopped receiving notifications from my Android 8.1. I have tried every trouble shooting suggestion they have. As a nurse it was nice being able to see my texts without having to get my phone out. Very frustrating.

Same here! My phone is a Galaxy S9 and I recently stopped getting the content of my texts on my Alta HR. Very irritated!

I have a Samsung Note 9 snd mine is doing this too, but in addition to this, if I get a phone call from a contact I now get their number instead of their name. I saw a post on here about 2 weeks ago where a fitbit moderator replied that it was a known issue but didn’t have any info when we can expect a resolution, it said something like 'stay tuned' but I can't find the post anymore.

Well, a few days ago my phone updated to Android 10. Now I don't get any text notifications at all on my Fitbit. I went from a name with no content, to nothing. I still get phone call notifications (for now). That was not the direction I was hoping this would go!

I ended up having syncing issues as well as text issues. I was doing a manual sync every morning and night to turn quick view on/off. It was taking 4 - 5 minutes because the app couldn't find my device. I would have to restart the app, restart bluetooth, sometimes restart my phone. More trouble than it was worth. I am going away from using a Fitbit device since the supported phone list is not being updated to add many of the newer phones.

And suddenly this week my notifications are back on my Alta HR. They seem to be longer than they were before they stopped working.

I did need to do a reset/uninstall/reinstall/reset up notifications in the app to get it to keep working

These opportunities are more than real because I work in the same mode as all my friends. In the era of the pandemic, another method may not be the right one, which is why it's worth taking a closer look at the work and learning options that the Internet provides us with.
