It used to sync in 1-2 minutes, max.
Now, you have to turn all you GPS on, which sucks.
Syncing takes about 2-3 minutes. Even then it doesn't fully sync. But I have to put it in my pocket because I want to exercise, not stand around looking at my phone.
It's getting worse in terms of functionality.
It should be getting better and faster.
It's not it's getting slower and worse.
Take note....
My biggest gripe WAS as logged on following forum... Issue since 9th March
Missing MobileRun map/pace data, Android 2.44+
But since 5th May no maps will load. Just whirling red circle. Google maps show on pc/web but not android app.
Had enough. Got onto Twitter support today to send my charge2 back and they've just signposted me to John Lewis shop where I bought it.
I've just contacted them.
After 2.5 years I'm pulling out of fitbit.

The tracker is great. To bad that the app sucks now, hope they will fix the app or the developers that work on the app... Until then using other apps.
Here's a video showing just how well the app works.
Nice software
After a 17km walk, it lost my trail, just recording the raw data.
Refused to function for 20 minutes or so on finishing. Some of this is captured in the video.
Did other things. Came back to it, and it had failed to upload it to Strava, losing the whole thing.
If you were serious about your activities, you would think about ditching this right here.

Best AnswerEach time something goes wrong with the app and it loses my trail, or refuses to sync, I'm going to post a screencast video to this post.

Best AnswerOk. So. As promised, I'm going to add to this thread as per every evidence I get for my initial assertion.
Here's the latest edition. This app is getting worse.
After a 40 minutes walk, the app has not synced.
When finishing the walk, I have to wait another 12 minutes before it will sync.
Please tell me this is being dealt with by the development team.
Best AnswerOk.
To shed some more light on this.
My old sim now works, which means I NOW have TWO phones, TWO sims and TWO versions of fitbit ONE requiring GPS permisssions, the other NOT.
Turns out the PHONE requiring GPS positions takes 2-12 minutes to SYNC. Anything from 100% to 1,200% SLOWER than the old phone running the old version of ANDRIOD that does not require GPS PERMISSIOns.
My advice is:
If you're having problems with the NEW GPS PERMISSIONS and sync times, use an OLD DEVICE.
That app operates as NORMAL and updates in 1-2 minutes, (as it should).
Hope this helps.
Best AnswerYep, what's with the automatic log out option that's been introduced?? Why?? Talk about frustrating. You guys are meant to help people become more active not put people off registering steps etc by constantly having to make us log in on random occasions.
Best AnswerNo. Many of the problems are not solved. This morning I've woken up to find that my tracker is not even on my account.
