When I use the phone to start a workout like Hike or Run the heart rate is not logged in the workout.
I use the Hike as a workout when I go Cross Country Skiing since this unfortunately not is an option.
Started from my Charge 3 I have on the log:
Phone:
Map, Splits Elevation, Heart rate, Energy, Impact and Recent
PC:
On my PC (Windows10) I have the logged map, and in Exercise detail:
Pace, Elevation, Heart rate, Calories burned

When start from the Charge 3 the GPS logging is not correct. (When I start the Charge 3 connect to My Huawei phone as it should). It seems that there is a correction to the street length, and that it doesn’t depends on the GPS only.
AS you can see the heart rate is missing. This happened in the end of July 2019.
I have the heart rate under the symbol of the heart, but this is not the same informative to use compare to the workout.
Hope you can fix this problem so I don’t need to go back and use my heart rate belt together with the Adidas/Runtastic app as I use earlier. It is easier to use the Charge 3 than the heart rate belt.
Sincerely

We have brought it to fitbits attention that the heart rate does not show on the phone app.
As for distance, when using the phone to record activity, I believe it uses the phones GPS.
As for durring a walk yes the persons stride is part of the calculation.
You may have asked more, but these two questions where all I could make sense off.

Thank you for your reply Rich_Laue.
I will try to change the stride length to test out the calculation when I go Cross Contry skiing.
Looking forward to the update.

if your using the phone, not the Fitbit tracker, to track cross country skiing the stride should not matter. Especially since there isn't a measurable stride when skiing.
The app should use GPS to determine distance.
