Hello everyone!

I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.

Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.

Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.

Happy stepping!

Thank You for the reply.  I know that we can still check the level on the device.  I have the notifications set up so that when it gets to 25% I will get notified and I know to charge it.  My issue is that while charging the device, I would use the app to check when it was fully charged. This way I can place the device to charge and walk away to do other things without constantly going back to the device to see if it is fully charged.

Thank You

Have you gotten any positive feedback? I doubt it.  This is such an epic fail.  I do hope that you listen to your customers and allow a rollback to 3.9 which is user friendly.

Thanks

There is no fixing this. This is offensively bad. Revert it. Scrap it. Fire absolutely everyone involved. Absolutely everyone.

It takes genuine effort to make an interface so bad that it garners any reaction whatsoever let alone this level of visceral hate.

There's no fixing it. You can't just slap the battery icon back on or something. It's *complete* garbage. I, personally, have cancelled my premium and left a review on the app store. But I'm no where near satisfied.  I have never been all that interested in checking out the competition, but I will absolutely never give this company another dime if someone in that company doesn't have to guts to set things right.

It's horrible!! Is there a way to change back. I especially don't like the new colours. Very boring.

It worked well as it was. Why make it more complicated for no very obvious reason?

Best Answer

I know what you mean I used to do the same thing I also used to check to see the percentage, because the phone was to small and in daylight I could never see the info on the screen

This is a disaster!

Fix it soon or I'm tossing my Fitbit in the trash!!!

What a pathetic response.

"Please note that all comments will be taken into account when reviewing all feedback." - I sincerely hope so but I suspect not based on my dealings with FitBit so far...

I don't believe you.

I absolutely hate it. Where did my zone colors go? Orange, yellow, red was easy to see at a glance and kept me motivated. Now it's all blah shades of dark green and I cannot see how much time I have spent in my target zones. I absolutely hate the new interface and I want to return to the old version. I do not see any benefit or any Improvement.

I have complained to fitbit about the treatment of data.  Some of you may remember that they had a server crash.  2 Days worth of data lost, even though the data is actually in the watch...  Fitbit has not been responsive.  When the graphics package was downgraded, they were not responsive.  When bugs are found, fitbit asks for a new feature report?  When the Sense 2 changed the active hours display, many people complained that the old method of always displaying steps remaining was what they wanted.  Here we are 2 years later and no response.  When tech support says file a new feature and get as many people to vote for it as you can and maybe something will happen, nothing happens.

I have been a fitbit customer for over 15 years, they are famous for ignoring the use.  I am only giving fitibit a small window of time t roll this back before I move on.

I wish I knew if this was the result of people at Fitbit or Google.

This is my sixth or seventh fitbit watch.  Never again.

If this was google's brainchild, I would seriously have to consider divesting from everything of theirs entirely.  I detest the arrogance, smugness, and narrow-mindedness of apple users, but I would have to seriously consider going that far if this is google's fault.

Change for the sake of change is stu***.  Reducing functionality is genuinely daft.

What were you thinking?

Block this post and see if I don't at least stop buying Pixel phones.

I don't like it. There's too much stuff in the way of what I'm really interested in and I can't rearrange it the way I want. Mindfulness is a total waste of space for me. I haven't had a cycle for years. I liked the old app.

Thank you for trying but it's not working for me.

Not alone! It's hard to see. I am older than you and wearing glasses and hard to see. Color helps. I know many may like the update but shouldn't we have a choice if we are paying premium?

I want the last one back.

Ok I know I'm old but I didn't understand that. Perhaps an email with step by step instructions, please.

For God's sake just put the app back to what it was. It's dreadful, view, icons, colours, functionality. How did this ever get passed for release! It's so bad that I think I'll be ditching the fitbit and buy a different product. I left a review on trust pilot and saw loads of very unhappy customers. Shame, I've had fitbit for years, thought it was fab. But no, it's gone downhill

My fitbit died 2 weeks ago..had I knew this update was coming and how bad it is I wouldn't have bought another.

So much of what I used and liked has gone or changed.

The dashboard is supposed to be a motivational tool as well as a consise record if achievement so you can look back and understand your fitness progress and journey.

Fitbit has now graced us with a dull, uninspiring, not fit dashboard.

Disappointed.

Why not start a new thread, "What do you like about the new Fitbit App", and see if anyone posts?

I too want the old interface back….I cant make the print on my Fitbit screen big enough for me to see many details. I depend on the interface on the app for me to see many things that are going on, number of steps, stairs climbed, how long and how far I have walked and, mostly importantly, WHEN to charge my battery. In the times I havent checked it on the app, I have woken up to emails saying my battery is low, giving me the percentage. Well I am out of the house every day to go to the pool and if I didnt have enough time to charge it, it does me no good. Why did they  take what wasnt broke, and break it? And I dont WANT to move anything to google. I hate google.

I doubt that anyone would post, except the Fitbit/Google employees who decided to make this change.

The app was okay as it was.

Nowadays every company makes nice things, and then they wrecks it!

Everything changes all the time, and not to make it better, but to confuse users, and make them not find their way around!

If every other day, I place your usual things elsewhere,... you will probably not be happy!

So what is this good for?

Fashion exhibition?
