Hello everyone!

I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.

Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.

Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.

Happy stepping!

How do I install previous version of the app?  This looks like a 3 year old designed it.

This "upgrade "surprised me this morning with a fitbit charge 5 that was dead ( empty).

After that the app on the phone that looked  different.

I tried to customise it to my liking but it is awfull, not intuitive and all the comments I 've read are true.

I came here to look for a way to revert the update but  that seems to be impossible.

I understand that Google has something to do with it ?

If it won't be improved soon I will look for a replacement but it wil not be google or fitbit 6

I just got the update and it is awful.  I have to scroll forever to see what I used to see in just a glance.  I am limited in what I can put on my main screen - to just the "groupings" - when I used to be able to put the different items I wanted to focus on.  The bland colors/font do not help either.  Everything is monotone so it is hard to tell what is what at a glance.  Overall, not an improvement, and if this overlay is my only option, might look elsewhere.  Is there any way I can go back to old interface?

Thank you. I've been researching what to switch to since yesterday when the new app rolled up. Thank you for the advice. I'll be buying a new tracker on next few days

So I tried the new app today, went for a 39minute interval run session. So I found that the actual result was rather lack lustre. Information like max heart rate missing, comparison to past events. The colour palette is poor and the map essentially looks if a child has used a wax crayon.

Luckily I have downloaded the old a.p.k. and reinstalled the old version.

You can currently find the old version and reinstall it. I've just done it

I cannot express my disappointment at the new app more strongly

Not only is it old fashioned looking and bulky, the information it is displaying is incorrect and contradicting itself?!?

Example: top data reads 1,329 calories whereas the lower more detailed tab reads 1,229.

can we have the previous app reinstated please at least until all of the bugs are fixed?

Along with all the other issues, my application notifications--for texts, from Teams, instant messages, etc.--were all cleared. Not a huge deal, but be serious....why? At least warm us! It's been a long time since I updated those, and I had to hunt it down in the confusing configuration options.

In the new design App for Android, when I sync the device the battery charge level is not shown anymore. This is disturbing! While charging, for example, I have to look he level on the device.

Please re-add it!

How do I find the old version?

Best Answer

battery level is not on charge 5. so easy acces in the app is needed

Old ap was so much better.  Should have battery charge.  Sleep hours as was on the previous ap.  This ap has no "personalty".  Whoever designed the ap must not be people competent.

Where can we find it .
How should that reinstall be done ?

BTW is the designer colourblind ?
now it's all bland.
Is he/she/X hired for sake of inclusion

I can't find where to generate the Wellness Report in 4.0.  I'm so disoriented I can't even remember where it used to be.  The ECG report is in the same place, but Wellness seems to have disappeared.  Why aren't reports all in one place and easy to generate?

Awful "upgrade".

Given what Google is doing with this brand but I'd in no way be inclined to switch to their tracker.  One of the things I appreciate about the Charge 5, in fact all of the product line that I've owned, is that it's not big, trying to take on the form factor of a watch.  That the screen is small is a feature, not a liability.  It can easily show the things I wish to quickly check, but it's the phone application that gives it value, and that has just been decimated by this week's "upgrade."  Sadly, I suspect the article is spot on.  If they indeed kill off Fitbit there is zero chance that we'd consider any other product owned by them.

I used to love the app. The latest version is drab, full of pushy Premium "features" I don't want and difficult to navigate. It only displays the latest exercise activity per day and only if you display the weekly Exercise Days. For example, if you go for a 2-hour run and then have a 10-minute workout it will only show the workout. You cannot scroll sideways anymore to see the other activities. The ads are the only visually appealing items on the page and take a huge relative screen space. The previous version was much better.

When I called phone support yesterday, the woman I talked to had no idea about this upgrade!!!!!   That's sad it true, as there had been so many  complaints posted here  at that time.
