My step total for today is very high, and based on the morning, I should have around 4,000 steps. Both my Fitbit and the app says I have almost 21,000. It's as if it carried over my 15,516 total from yesterday, and it's never done that before.

 Thanks for sharing those details and bringing this up.

 

In this case I'd like to ask if the situation has continued or did the Fitbit's step count restart last night? If it does happen again, my recommendation would be to restart your Fitbit and manually sync it to your account. That should get it to show the correct number of steps.
