Hello, I have been out for a couple of 10K walks with my Pixel watch 2.
I have tracked the walks using Fitbit premium.
I have listened to downloaded podcasts on both walks.
The battery drained from 100% to 10% both times once I'd finished (about 1hour 20 mins).
I'm trying to work out what's draining the battery. Is it listening to the podcast (bear in mind I'm not streaming it although I have the LTE version of the app).
Or is it the Fitbit tracking? I'm wondering if the Fitbit tracking uses the LTE connection and that's what is draining the watch?
Any help gratefully received.

Hi, @benjamin163 welcome, I'm not familiar with the LTE PW2 (I have WiFi) & have used numerous Fitbit devices. On board GPS is a juice guzzler even in Fitbit devices that have bigger batteries. I would imagine your LTE version frequently polls the cellphone network and of course, juice goes to transmit BT or signal to your ears. I can only suggest you cut out each function in turn on consecutive walks to have a look at the comparative battery drain.
I appreciate this is not very helpful.
Cheers

Thank you for taking the time to reply.
I guess I should try a walk without tracking and one with and see the difference.
If Fitbit doesn't track, it still tells you steps and distance right? Just doesn't put it on a map for you. Is that right?

Hi, @benjamin163 , In the Fitbit app on your phone, touch your icon in the top right corner>activity & wellness>exercise>walk>ensure the slider on the right is on, set "longer than" as desired>SAVE & return to the Today screen & sync. Your Fitbit app will auto-recognize & record a walk of "longer than", you will NOT get GPS or a map.
I hope this helps.
Cheers

Hello @benjamin163
To answer your question, if you don't use the GPS option on your walk, your Pixel watch/Fitbit app will still track your steps and distance.
