Treat activities from Health Connect as 1st class citizens

Hi!
I use Pixel Watch 3 as my daily smartwatch (synced with Pixel 9 phone). I do tons of indoor/outdoor running and cycling tracked with other, more specialised devices that are all set up to post full activity data to Health Connect from which I expect them to be imported into Fitbit. To be clear: I don't wear my Pixel Watch during these activities and don't plan to do that.

As of today my activities do end up in Fitbit app but only with the most basic data (time, distance, avg speed/pace, energy burned). If I look at Health Connect data screens in Fitbit app, I can see tons of other metrics e.g. heart rate, power, cadence etc. that could be imported but aren't. It looks like Fitbit deliberately ignores that data when importing an activity. What's worse, because of the missing data, none of these imported activities are included in cardio load metric effectively making this metric useless.

Here's a sample indoor cycling session as visible in Strava, Google Fit and Fitbit (both importing activity from Health Connect).

  1. Strava has all the metrics including power, HR, cadence - you name it.
  2. Even (soon to be dead) Google Fit is much better at this than Fitbit.
It correctly imports activity name (even that's ignored by Fitbit...), activity contains speed and HR chart (no power or cadence data but it's better than nothing...). As a result, this activity generates Fit's heart points just like any activity tracked by Pixel Watch.
  3. Fitbit sees all necessary activity data but saves none of it into the activity.

Fitbit app sees extra metrics just fine from Health Connect, here's cadence and power from this activity:

Also when I compare heart rate as seen in Today screen vs in Health Connect,Today screen is missing HR data from the time of my imported activity while Health Connect screen shows HR for entire day.

Similar case with my smart scale that posts full data to Health Connect (I can see all of that in 'Health Connect data' in Fitbit) but none of that become part of Fitbit's Today screen.

Please make the Health Connect integration complete, import all metrics Fitbit supports and include these metrics in calculation of cardio load and any other Fitbit-specific features. You already have all data you need, the only reason why this is still not done, is in the past somebody decided to favour Fitbit hardware over other devices. With Fitbit app becoming the only Google's fitness app on Android and with Health Connect gaining popularity this strategy hardly makes any sense anymore.
