Trouble pairing surge to galaxy S9

Hey all, i have a surge that ive used a couple years now. It paired and synced with no problems on my iphone 8. I recently bought a Samsung galaxy S9. And it wont sync or pair... is my phone too new? Any suggestions?

This might be happening because the Galaxy S9 is not currently on the supported devices list. This means that the app is not fully optimized to work with that phone and thus we cannot guarantee that it will work.

 

As long as the phone fulfills the minimum requirements, Android 4.4 and Bluetooth 4.0, there is a chance that it will sync. Taking this into consideration, some users of unsupported devices have found that following these steps has helped them to sync. Please know that we cannot guarantee that it will work.
