My Samung S8 won't allow me to set up my fitbit charge? It allows me to input the pin to connect them both but then will not move from the connect screen? It stays like that for ages. I've tried resetting the fitbit and re-installing the app

Hi there @AshleeF26, nice to have you here as a new member of the Fitbit Community! Since has been a few days after your post, I'm wondering how it goes? Were you able to pair your tracker to your Fitbit account?
I was reviewing and I noticed on your Community profile page you have paired a Charge HR, so this is the reason I'm asking.
Only if the issue persists, it might be good to give it a try to these troubleshooting steps:

I'm having this same issue. I've tried your suggestions. My phone recognizes the device because it sends the pin number to the HR device. After I enter the number on my phone/app, it stays stuck on Connecting.

Hello @SunsetRunner, good to have you as a new member of the Fitbit Community! My apologies for the late response and I'm wondering how it goes? I would like to give follow up to your concern that you are not able to go through the pin code.
I have seen this issue once in a while and I've been able to address this issue by force closing the app and retrying again. Most of the times, when I open again the Fitbit app, the set up was already completed but the progress is not updated in the Fitbit app.
