Unable to Search for Food (or bar code scan for food)

I am unable to search or scan food items to log them in my fitbit app. I have already force stopped the app and restarted with no resolve. Foods in my recent and frequent lists appear but I'm unable to search for anything new.

I've already switched to a new app but I'm having trouble getting my fitbit
to sync and stay connected with any app lately even the fitbit app. Google
ruined them just like we knew they would years ago.

Hey! So I called customer services (not that it had ever proven to be useful in the past...) and this was their email following my call with them (so very generic and basically nothing to reassure me it'll be fixed asap..). On the phone the lady told me they're already in the process of fixing the issue, but unable to tell me any timescales.

As for another app, I can see MyFitnessPal for tracking calories, that you can connect with GoogleFit, but ultimately, as horrible Fitbit gets like on a monthly basis, it is the most complex app for us Google Pixel watch users. I don't know if there is a combination of a calorie tracker and exercise recorder app that we could try. If anyone has got an idea please brainstorm!

I have this same issue as of yesterday evening when I tried to log my daily food.  Add one food, then try to add the next and the first one disappears.  And if you close the app and come back in then that one disappears too.

Seems to be fixed for now. As someone with ocd and food issues this has
been rough. They need to realize how this impacts some people. I'm going
to find a new tracker and app not associated with Google.

I thought it was fixed, too, until I went to add in yesterday's info and yesterday showed all of today's info. Not fixed. Let me know if you actually find something not associated with google.

I can log my food now but the app still isn't right. It won't stay synced
to my phone. It keeps telling me it can't sync even though it does. I keep
having to force stop and reopen it or Uninstal then reinstall it.

I really appreciate getting this issue fixed.  

Is there any hope for being able to make "Custom Food"?

I'm unable to control the serving size, weight or fluid volume. And the "Save" button does not respond.

I prepare a lot of meals that I use over and over, and being able to make it Custom saves a whole lot of time over inputting each ingredient separately.

Is this issue being addressed?
