Unable to add friends

I am having trouble adding friends using the app or the online dashboard. It says i have no contacts although I have given permission to access contacts. It wont let me add by username or email either comes up with error 404 everytime. I have uninstalled app and reinstalled and cleared the cache and rebooted my phone and still no luck. Please help!

Hi @KatieRich  can't help with your problem, but here is a workaround that has been successful for others. Using the link below, give it to your friends and have them add you as a friend. All you'll need is to accept their request. https://www.fitbit.com/user/3P4QKL

I have the same issue with my charge 5 devise. Yes your friends are able to request you as a friend, then you confirm the notification you receive. However it would be nice if we could take care of things are self, and what if we are trying to connect with a person from the community etc. We shouldn't have to give are info to them and wait and see if they put it in on there end.

@KatieRich Welcome to the forums. Thanks for explaining what you have already tried. Which smartphone do you have?  Please make sure to check the app permissions and try giving it again access to your contacts. I have just tried adding friends from my contacts and it did load properly, so I do not believe is a global issue. 

@Honesty830814 Nice to see you here in the forums again. I will gladly help you add friends on the Fitbit app. Please make sure that you Fitbit app is up to date. Please try force quitting the app, restarting your smartphone and try again.
