Unable to end a run in the Android app

Hello Fitbit Community,

Has anyone else been having an issue where they can't stop tracking an exercise ?

Typically I'll go out running, and when I want to stop, the pause button is unresponsive, and the finish button never appears (as I can't pause it). I can swipe to the map, unlock it, drag it around, swipe back to the timing screen, but just that button won't work...

I usually have to force quit the app, meaning it immediately logs the splits and map (and I can view them), but later that won't appear in my activity log with the extra data - it just shows time, estimated distance and calories.

I'm on a fitbit Flex 2, and an Android phone running 6.0.1 and the latest version of the Fitbit App.

Thanks for any support from teh community or Fitbit 🙂

B.

Hi there @bdstuder, let me give you a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community! Certainly this is not a normal behavior.

I'm wondering if this issue is limited only to the stop button or is it happening after you paused the exercise too? In some scenarios pausing the exercise cause different issues on the exercise you are tracking.

Something that might be of your help would be to clear the cache of the app along with a restart of the app. Please use this post for more directions, this might get you back on track.

See you around and let me know how it goes!
