Unable to enter calories when logging exercise

For the last 5 days or so my Fitbit app on my phone won't allow me to use precise calories for my workouts.  What changed?  Can I get that back?

I can still log on the fitbit dashboard on my computer but it's way more convenient to use the app on my phone for logging.

I've ran into the same issue. It's been going on close to 2 weeks.

I started out just editing the work out after it was logged and adding the "precise" calories burned... now I can't even do that. I don't have the ability to edit it.

Are you still experiencing issues? I've uninstalled the app, reset my fitbit, restarted my phone, even got curious and tried to do it from the website (I can't). Super frustrating.

You are both describing a phone app issue.  Do you use Android or iPhone?  Your posts can get moved to a better fit forum, where you might get more help.

The issue (change? Bug?) is definitely present on Android. In this case the workaround consists in accepting the calories given by the app, save it and then edit the session just created. Calories can then be modified.

I have an Android phone.

I can only add mine directly to the app on my laptop or tablet, logging
into the Fitbit Dashboard.

It doesn't allow edit in the app, only "delete" option. That's no help. Also, you can't log more than one activity per day. Each one overrides the other.

I'm having the same issue and I tried everything with deleting the app, reinstalling and restarted my phone and device. Did you ever get answers?

I didn't get a fix from Fitbit but someone else did say that the last software update we got is causing this issue on Android devices.  Do you have an Android phone?

I can input precise information on my tablet or laptop so I just login on those to enter my data.  It's a pain but it works for now.  I'm hoping when we get another software update this will be fixed.

Has anyone had any luck with this yet?
I could, after 2-4 attempts get it so that it would let me enter the correct (i.e. not made up Fitbit ones) calories for Spinning, but it doesn't seem to at all/ever for elliptical.
So far FB live chat have no answers...

First, I'm not a jogger, I'm a rower on an erg in a structured class where I'm more likely burning 350+ calories (based on a chest monitor) but my Inspire HR says 157 - right, lol.

It's been like this for at least a year but I did have the capability at one time. I enter my distance and don't count on Fitbit for calories - pretty sad.

Entering the exercise (rowing isn't automatic) used to shut down the distance field but that seems to have resolved itself - most of the time.

If it weren't for the styling of the Inspire HR, I'd have replaced this device. I'm looking for a device that can recognize rowing and give me accurate data.

yeah, the help staff are in almost total denial about the issue.
Took sooooo long including giving them empirical evidence in every manner possible before they were prepared to acknowledge that the app has a bug.
The lack of attention to this issue, coupled with the denial attempts in the fact to incontrovertible evidence from the help line and no fix on the horizon is def making me consider ditching my fitbit and going to another platform.
i'll give them another month or so to fix this. . . . or at least lt us know a fix is in the pipeline.
